And that right there just about sums it up.
The inaugural 106 mile Chino Grinder Gravel Race is in the books. I don’t know how we find such joy in truly brutal routes but I’d definitely do it again. And thank God for ‘cross bikes.
Birthday ride for Joel, happy 23 big guy!
Maybe this is just a Thomas Keating appreciation post (Look at that handsome devil!) but we got in a great ride on Saturday to Canyon Lake and beyond. Cloud cover, rain, dirt, sunshine, and wind, this ride had it all. Great times with great company.
As A Bike Commuter,
Some days are harder than others. The bright side is that today, a school bus full of children learned to always watch for cyclists. A few may have even wet themselves. I almost did.
Alright guys, lets talk about STP last night. Last week I had a very soft start which meant that I had to ride through everyone else’s thick cloud of dust. I have terrible allergies so I was sneezing my ass off for 2 days after that. This week I decided to go for the holeshot to avoid the huge cloud of dust (death incarnate). Got second through the holeshot, but then I forgot that halfway through the lap, the course loops through the starting point (death incarnate). Long story shirt I DNF’ed due to a mild asthma attack, sneezing for 2 minutes straight, and enjoying a cold, refreshing beer.
So the point is that it’s time for some new allergy medication. I mean I’ll still ride ride dirt with a group but I kinda have to make it through the rest of the week as well.
And thanks for the pics Dirty!
